OUR PRIVATE GETAWAY
TO PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

Enjoy the sensual breezes of the Pacific Ocean in a cliff side setting with stunning 180 views of tequila sunrises to fiery sunsets.

Come meet the gracious and warm people of the quaint fishing village of Puerto Angel, surrounded by miles of powdery secluded beaches.

Viewpoint de Puerto Angel

Viewpoint is a 34-unit condominium complex, built on a spectacular rocky headland jutting out into the Pacific Ocean. It is surrounded by water on three sides and there is no doubt the location is second-to-none.

It is a short walk to the small Mexican town of Puerto Angel, an authentic fishing village, a 50-minute drive to the international airport of Huatulco, and another 10 minutes further to the thriving tourist centre of the Bahias of Huatulco.

More than anything else, Viewpoint is an ideal place to unwind and to learn to adapt to “Mexican time”. The ocean breezes are soothing, and there is plenty of sunshine, a laid-back tropical vibe, great food, cheap beer and endless beaches.

Swimming, fishing, beach-combing, snorkelilng, diving, surfing, all manner of water sports are on the doorstep, including spotting whales, bait balls, rays and dolphins just off the point. At Viewpoint, or VP, as it is affectionately called, there is always an owner on “whale watch” at the pool!

Getting there
Once you are there

From late October to mid-April, Westjet, Air Canada, Sunwing, and Air Transat offer 5-hour direct flights to Huatulco from most major Canadian cities. In the off season, it is a short hop to Huatulco from Mexico City.

You spend several minutes recovering from the WOW factor when you first see the jaw-dropping location, not that you ever quite get over it. Even after living there for several years, no owner has ever tired of the view or come to dismiss it. When lounging idly by the pool, reading quietly or socializing with friends under the pergola becomes just a little too sedate and routine, there are places to go and things to do. There is no shortage of local beaches, from intimate coves and protected marine parks, to long stretches of surf. Some you can walk to, others are a short drive or a boat ride away.

Life at Viewpoint

Puerto Angel is roughly halfway between the larger coastal centres of Huatulco and Puerto Escondido, both of which offer great shopping, restaurants, cultural activities and nightlife.

Pochutla, the inland community closest to Puerto Angel has a lively market, banks and service stations, hospitals, supermarkets and a wide variety of services.

Further up the highway, 4000 feet up in the Sierras, a two-hour drive from the coast, you will find coffee and banana plantations, lush jungle, cooler temperatures and delightful fincas for an overnight getaway.

Road trips to the charming colonial city of Oaxaca or to historically rich Chiapas are popular with residents of the complex, and cultural getaways to vibrant Mexico City are also easy and affordable.

Group and private Spanish lessons are available and easily customizable. Si, amigos, it’s important to know how to order your cervezas and your margaritas!

There are also opportunities for community involvement and volunteerism. Many owners at Viewpoint are involved in various community improvement projects and over the years, have donated hundreds of thousands of pesos to worthy causes.
